During the week I was asked to lead the children's segment for Church this morning. I decided that it would be a nice idea to talk about "going back to school." For those of you who are unaware; in Australia tomorrow most kids are going back to school after a six week summer holiday! I was beautifully prepared, with props and notes and a prayer. I planned to talk about how the first day of school (for the year) can be really exciting because it is something new, but it can also be really scary as you meet your new teacher, and it's not like being at home all the time...etc etc. But God is our Special Friend and we don't have to be scared when we go to school because He is with us all the time and He will help us as we learn new things.
Two minutes into the children's segment I was informed that 4 out of the 6 children who attended Church this morning are home schooled!
